i couldn't stop thinking about old nature documentaries that i used to watch on reel to reel in elementary school, warbling, dissonant, calm, the noisy clattering of the old machine, the smell of hot dust. this is less about nostalgia and more about traversing mental landscapes, waning memory, drifting in and out of fog. there is clarity for the briefest moment, but it becomes soft and worn and absurd. lost like a dream
